EFF STATEMENT ON THE APPOINTMENT OF THEMBI MSANE AND SIXOLISE GCILISHE AS EFF ELECTIONS SPOKESPERSONS

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) announces the appointment of Commissar Thembi Msane and Fighter Sixolise Gcilishe as Elections Spokespersons, as we intensify preparations for forthcoming electoral engagements and strengthen our communications capacity in service of the people.

Fighter Sixolise Gcilishe has served the organisation in various critical communication roles over the years. She previously served as Communications Manager and later as Head of Digital Communications in the Presidency of the EFF. She has also served as Elections Spokesperson during the 2024 national elections.

Commissar Thembi Msane has, since 2025, served as the National Spokesperson of the EFF, where she has been responsible for articulating the positions of the organisation across a wide range of political, economic, and social issues. In this role, she has consistently demonstrated political maturity, organisational discipline, and the ability to represent the EFF with clarity and confidence in the public domain.

As Elections Spokespersons, Commissar Msane and Fighter Gcilishe will be responsible for leading the public communication of the EFF’s electoral program, engaging the media, coordinating messaging during the election period, and ensuring that the voice of the organisation remains clear, consistent, and accessible to the people of South Africa.

The EFF expresses full confidence in both Commissar Msane and Fighter Gcilishe. We are confident that they will discharge their responsibilities with the discipline, integrity, and revolutionary purpose that the EFF demands.
