The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is pleased to announce the strengthening of the EFF Provincial Command Team (PCT) in the Eastern Cape, for purposes of organisational and elections work. On Wednesday, 26 March 2025, the EFF Secretary General Commissar Marshall Dlamini convened a Special Provincial Command Team (PCT) to communicate these resolutions, following commendable growth by the EFF in the Provincial and National Elections of 2024 in the Eastern Cape.
The leadership of the EFF has resolved to reinforce the PCT of the EFF in the province with a total of 22 members, an addition to the already existing 25 members currently serving in the PCT. The organisation has called on various former leaders and public representatives to serve as permanent invitees of the PCT. The organisation has deployed all its PCT members to specific sub-regions to guide the work of rebuilding the EFF in all 703 branches (per the new ward demarcation) of the province.
The leadership has appointed an Elections Committee to further strengthen our efforts towards the Local Government Elections (LGE) campaign. The Provincial Deputy Chairperson, Fighter Nokuthula Mlokoti, will head this committee. This committee will spearhead all EFF Eastern Cape election campaigns, including by-elections.
Furthermore, following the unfortunate passing of our Provincial Treasurer, Fighter Thembinkosi Apleni, the organisation has resolved to appoint former Nelson Mandela Region Chairperson Fighter Khanya Ngqisha as the new Provincial Treasurer. Fighter Ngqisha is charged with the responsibility of fundraising for all EFF work in the province.
The organisation has further reinforced its provincial Media and Communications machinery by appointing Fighter Liza Mfana as a Media Liason and Communications Officer. Fighter Mfana served as the 3rd Deputy President of the EFF Student Command (EFFSC), and in various other capacities in the organisation.
The list of fighters appointed to serve the people of the Eastern Cape includes those with governance experience, comprises a generational mix, and organisational memory, and their deployment is as follows:

It is noteworthy that the organisation has brought back various former leaders of the EFF who served at different levels such as the former Central Command Team (CCT) Commissar and Member of Parliament (MP), Fighter Yoliswa Yako, who is now deployed in the Champion Galela sub-region in Nelson Mandela Bay.
This decision by the EFF leadership reasserts a longstanding sentiment of the organisation that: the EFF has no dustbin for its loyal members. It is a testament that the organisation truly cares about its people and will always prioritise hardworking, disciplined, and loyal members for organisational responsibilities. We call on all fighters to rally behind and support these leaders.
After the successful defence of the organisation at the 3rd National People’s Assembly (NPA) in NASREC in 2024, we are in the process of rebuilding a solid machinery that will advance us towards economic freedom. The organisation wishes all these fighters well in their responsibilities, and trusts that they will serve it with honesty, diligence, and integrity.
